Our life might be complicated but we love each other, take care of each other and respect each other and THATS WHAT MAKES US A FAMiLY♥

♥Test Taken Sept. 12, 2008♥
Well I'm new at this whole blogging thing so I'm going to start off by going backwards to September/2008. On September 12, 2008 we found out that we were expecting our 2nd child. We had been planning to have a baby for months and finally decided to try in August. We tried a couple of methods that I read online on how to conceive a boy. Pregnancy started off good, hardly any morning sickness compared to my pregnancy with my daughter. I think that throughout the whole pregnancy i threw up maybe 2 times? If that. Right off the bat i started having cravings. Not weird cravings like a pregnant woman normally has but normal things, such as chili cheese fries, slushies (from sonic lol) and LOTS and LOTS of fruit (watermelon was my favorite).
♥1st Ultra Sound♥
I had my 1st ultra Sound Sept. 30, 2008 because of some bleeding and light cramping. I for real thought my body was trying to abort this little baby. I freaked out so they gave me my first ultra sound. Turns out I am one of the few woman who still have a light period even pregnant so the bleeding was from that and the cramping was my body adjusting again to a baby being inside. The heartbeat was actually picked up by the machine even at 6 weeks which the Dr told me rarely happens, it was beating at 99 BPM and let me just say that once i heard the heart all of my worries were gone and it felt as if a huge weight was lifted off of my chest.

♥iTS A BoY♥!
December 17th 2008 I went in for my 2nd ultra sound. Hoping to confirm what I had been feeling the sex of the baby was from the start. And sure enough both myself and my husband were right IT WAS A BOY=] and we couldn't have been happier. Baby was actually growing a week a head of schedule so I walked into the appointment at 17 weeks and found out baby was weighing at 18 weeks which would make my due date May 20th, 2009, from May 26th, 2009 because the dates were still pretty close together my Dr decided to keep it at the original date which was May 26th. The baby was growing well and suprisingly bigger than expected. Which shocked me because with my daughters pregnancy Doctors were concerned because she was actually measuring way too small.

♥Maternity Pictures Taken March 28, 2008 32 Weeks Pregnant♥
After much arguing and bickering about what we were going to name this little boy my husband and i FINALLY decided and agreed to name him Jeziah David Mort. David being my husbands first name, I really wanted him to be a Jr. And i thought my husband did too but turns out he didnt. So I came up with the brilliant name lol Jeziah which means sprinkling of the Lord.
♥4/D Ultra Sound♥
At my 30 week appointment we were told that baby was in a breech position. Although they did state there was plenty of time for the baby to flip i knew deep down that he wasn't going too. And turns out i was correct. At my 35 week appointment i was given another ultra sound which then re confirmed that the baby was still at a breech position. They gave me 2 more weeks for the baby to flip. At my 37 week appointment yet another ultra sound confirmed yet again he was still breech then we were given the option to either try and turn the baby (which i REFUSED) or the safest method a c section. I am not going to lie at first i was absolutely terrified and tears just rolled down my face. My husband tried telling me that it would be ok and that it was the best thing for him but as a mother i wanted to have him the natural way. I then made up my mind and realized that he was breech for a reason, and gave the ok for the c section. They scheduled me for the following tuesday May 19th, 2009 1 week exactly before my actual due date. So being able to hold him a week early made up for his little butt being so stuborn=].
♥This was hours before going in for surgery.♥

♥Jeziah David Mort Born May 19th, 2009 9:59am 7lbs 6.4 oz 19.5 in♥
May 19th, 2009 at 7:30 am I went in to start the process of my surgery. When they took me into the surgery room it was FREEZING. All i remember is me shaking like crazy and them putting warm blankets all over me. I remember when they put my spinal in it felt like a bee sting then after i slowly felt my legs start numbing from my toes all the way to my waist. Once they started i was just trying to focus on whether or not i was feeling pain and breathing. My whole fear through the whole process was the the pain med wouldn't work and that they would have to put me completely under and i wouldn't be able to hear his 1st cry or see him until he was hours old. But thankfully that wasn't the case. They began cutting me up and i think once they were in they called my husband in because the 1st thing he said was "OMG I JUST SAW THE INSIDE OF YOUR STOMACH" not the best thing to say to the person whom they are cutting up lol. All i could say was "really?". Moments after that i heard my sons 1st cry. Emotions were uncontrollable. I immediatly began to cry. My husband got up and went around the curtain and snapped all of the pictures. As soon as the little booger came out i heard the dr's gasp then giggle apparantly Mr came out peeing on everyone lol from the start we knew he was going to be quite the character. It killed me not being able to see what was going on or see what he looked like. But as soon as he saw him he came back to me, kissed my forehead and told me "We did a GREAT job babe" That made me cry even more. They took the baby over to clean him and when i would turn my head to the right i could catch glimpses of him and what they were doing. Daddy was able to cut the cord and right after they wrapped him up like a burrito my husband brought him over to me.
♥1st Time I saw my Son♥
The first time i saw him i didn't know what to do. I kissed him and told him that i loved him and that he was perfect. I lifted his little beanie and saw his FRO and was amazed, he had ALOT of hair. And it was light brown with orange in it. He was a little white baby with RED lips. He couldn't have been more beautiful. It took a while before i knew how big he was they didn't measure him or weigh him right away. I was so anxious to know, because through the whole pregnancy i knew that he was going to be atleast 1/2 lbs bigger than my daughter. He felt EXTREMELY heavy for my tiny body. Everytime i walked i leaned forward lol. Anyways they took him away with daddy while they taped me up and got me ready for recovery. It felt as if it took HOURS but it really only took 20 mins. By the time i got to the recovery room Jeziah had already finished a bottle (Im telling you he is a CHUNKERS) and Proud daddy ofcourse was on the phone spreading the news. Now up to this point i still haven't held the baby. Minutes after i got in and the nurse checked me my husband walked over and i held my baby boy for the very 1st time.
♥1st Time I held him♥
When my husband put him in my arms it felt like bricks lol he was so heavy and right away my arm went dead. When my husband told me how big he was i was shocked, we guesstimated him to be around 7 lbs if that my dr didn't think he would be over 7lbs so 7 lbs 6.4 oz was HUGE for me and i was extremely happy he didn't come out of my va jay jay =]. Because i was in recovery alanah wasn't allowed to come meet her brother until i was out of recovery and in my own room. But the nurse that was taking care of me was an ANGEL and let my husband sneek alanah and my mom into the room to meet little Jeziah.

♥Alanah meeting her Little brother♥
At first you could tell alanah was a little hesitant she said "awe he is cute" but didnt want to hold or touch him because he was too small. Which was ok with me because she had NEVER been around a new born baby. So i knew it would take sometime for her to get use to him and the idea of not being the only child anymore. She did give him a kiss on the forehead though=]. My mom and alanah weren't allowed in the room for long they were in there for maybe 3 minutes before my husband walked them right back out. I was in recovery for about 15 mins before i started feeling and being able to move my legs and then they moved me into my official room. By the time i got to the room i was able to move myself into the bed, and the nurses freaked out they wanted to lift me but i assured them i was more than capable of moving myself over to my bed. They almost had a heart attack...apparently i was feeling way to good to just have had a c section. I was in the hospital for 2 days, which went by fast and slow at the same time. The pain was pretty bad, if it wasn't for the drugs they were giving me i would have probably cried but im pretty good about pain so i wasn't hurting too get to that point. I was actually already talking about having another one that same day lmfao. Call me crazy but the experience was amazing and i would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

♥Going Home May 21, 2009♥
We were finally released from the hospital 2 days later and i was more than happy to be going home. I missed my little girl terribly and i knew she was excited and waiting for mommy and her new little brother to be coming home. Sure enough as soon as we opened the house door there she was standing at the doorway greeting us with lots of love and hugs.

♥1st day home and greeted by his big sister♥
Overall this experience was like no other. I absolutely loved being pregnant and then having him by c section was also an amazing experience. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. This was more my husbands experience than mine he got to see the baby 1st, hold him 1st, feed him 1st, gave him the 1st bath, got to cut the cord basically everthing he did. And I was beyond happy considering he wasn't there for his little girls birth, he met her when she had already turned a month 1/2. So I wanted this experience to include him as much as possible and it couldnt have worked out better.
